Located in Arkhangai Aimag, at N47º53.262
/ E103º53.685, in the Orkhon valley north of Kharkhorin. Abandoned by
the Uighurs in 840 AD after an invasion by the Kirghis from southern Siberia.
The Uighurs migrated to what is now Xinjiang Province in China, setting
up a northern capital at
